Tour & Sketch in the Galleries with Protégé Art Studio

Friday, February 24, 2023
10 am – 11:30 am

Enjoy a morning of exploring and drawing in the galleries with Protégé Art Studio! Begin with a guided tour of the current exhibitions Raise the Roof: The Home in Art and Viewfinders: Photographers Frame Nature. Then, join artist and owner of Protégé Art Studio, Robyn Cooper, for an introduction to sketching from artwork on view. Focus will be on the art of composition – how to organize the elements of your artwork, zooming in and out, and cropping to create a successful composition.

Robyn Cooper received her M.F.A from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 2012 and has more than ten years of teaching experience. She has taught at universities, art centers, and museums across Long Island, New York. She established her own teaching studio, Protégé Art Studio, in 2022 to bring her passion for teaching through weekly classes and workshops to as many people as she can. The studio motto is “art for all” as Robyn believes art should be for everyone.
