Join us for The Art of Storytelling, an engaging workshop within The Mix series, where we explore the craft of writing and the power of narrative. Led by award-winning novelist and educator Renee Daniel Flagler, MFA, this session will dive into essential literary techniques—character development, plot structure, voice, and theme—equipping writers with the tools to bring their stories to life. Through interactive exercises and experimentation, participants will explore different storytelling forms and discover the best way to shape their narratives. Whether you’re a seasoned writer or just beginning your journey, this workshop will inspire and refine your creative expression. Attendees will also have an opportunity to support the release of Renee’s new book, Unlikely Neighbors.Â

Art Explorers Club: Creative Critters

Start your weekend with art, in both English and Spanish! Join bilingual Museum Educator Kim Zambrano one Saturday each month for a new and exciting interactive gallery tour, hands-on art making, stories, and much more. Kids will explore a variety of different art materials and techniques as they create open-ended projects and let their imaginations soar! Get creative and make new friends at this program designed specifically for ages five through ten.
