Cinque Program Artist Talk with Robert G. Carter

Join The Heckscher Museum of Art and the Romare Bearden Foundation for a co-hosted artist talk featuring exhibiting artist Robert Graham Carter as part of the Foundation’s Cinque Artists Series. Carter, whose work is currently on view in the exhibition Robert Graham Carter: The Art of Reflection, is a visual artist best known for his mixed-media works including commanding drawings; sculptural, high-relief paintings; and whimsical works on wood. Carter’s figurative compositions routinely speak to systemic societal issues with a specificity derived from his lived experiences.

Find the perfect spot and spend the afternoon painting en plein air, guided by renowned artist Christine D’Addario.
