New Museum Staff in Key Roles

The Heckscher Museum has named Evan Waddy-Farr as Director of Operations and Strategic Initiatives, a new position.  Evan is a non-profit professional with over a decade of experience in operations, project management, program and team development, and grant writing. Evan has a bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College in business management and leadership studies, and dual master’s degrees in arts teaching and special education.  “I’m looking forward to augmenting an already excellent & close-knit team, contributing to The Heckscher Museum’s deep mission of being a haven of world-class community learning, growth, and outreach,” said Evan.

Jessica Rosen has joined the staff as Curatorial Assistant. After completing her bachelor’s at Colgate University in studio art, she went on to pursue her master’s at Maastricht University in the Netherlands, in the program “Arts and Heritage: Policy, Management, and Education.” Her thesis was titled An Open Book with Multiple Readings: Feminist Museology explored through the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art. Jessica is a visual artist and curator, with her practice rooted in feminist and queer theory.

Laura Yacoubi was named Visitor Services Assistant. She has a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University in the interdisciplinary studies of art history and studio art, with specialization in collage and assemblage. She plans to pursue a master’s degree in art history.
