Hands-On Workshop with Protégé Art Studio

Tuesday, October 8, 2024
10 am – 12 pm

Enjoy a morning of exploring and drawing in the galleries with Protégé Art Studio! Begin with a guided tour of the current exhibition The Body Politic: Long Island Biennial 2024. Then join artist and owner of Protégé Art Studio, Robyn Cooper, as she guides you step by step to tackle your own self portraits! Like the artists in the exhibition, we will reflect on our roles in a social, cultural and political context.

Robyn Cooper received her M.F.A from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 2012 and has more than ten years of teaching experience. She has taught at universities, art centers, and museums across Long Island, New York. She established her own teaching studio, Protégé Art Studio, in 2022 to bring her passion for teaching through weekly classes and workshops to as many people as she can. The studio motto is “art for all” as Robyn believes art should be for everyone.

Ages 18+. All levels welcome – no experience necessary!
Bring your own sketchbook and pencil (and/or iPad if preferred).
